Privacy Architecture

Confidential Search Guarantee: Senior professionals often search while employed. Your identity, current employer, compensation floors, dealbreakers, and resumes are never indexed in any employer-searchable database, sold to recruiters, or used to train public AI models.

1. Information We Collect

Waitlist & Account Details: Name, email address, target functional track, and billing metadata processed via Stripe (we never store raw payment card numbers).
Career Strategy & Resume Data: Career history, interview answers, target role preferences, company exclusions (such as your current employer), and custom screening Q&A memory that you provide to personalize your workspace.
Cookie-Free Funnel Telemetry: First-party, cookie-free page interaction events (such as page views and waitlist form submissions) without third-party ad-network trackers or cross-site pixels.

2. Local Browser Execution & Encrypted Candidate Vault

Unlike cloud bots that ask for your passwords and log in from data-center proxies, the Chief of Search browser copilot executes locally inside your own Chrome browser on your device:

Zero Third-Party Password Storage: We never ask for or store your LinkedIn, Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, or Ashby passwords.
Zero Email Inbox Scraping: We never request OAuth read permissions (`gmail.readonly` or Outlook equivalents) to your personal or work email inbox. When an employer portal sends a verification code, you enter it directly.
Encrypted Profile Vault: Sensitive demographic and application fields are encrypted at rest (`AES-256-GCM`) and decrypted locally in your authenticated session when staging an application.

3. Zero-Training AI Processing

When Chief of Search interviews you, drafts tailored resume variants, or scores job postings against your rubric, requests are routed exclusively through commercial API endpoints governed by zero-data-retention / no-model-training policies. Your career narrative is never used to train foundation models.

4. Zero Sale or Employer Sharing

Chief of Search works exclusively for the candidate paying for the software. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with employers, staffing agencies, or data brokers. Data is transmitted to an employer portal only when you personally review an application in your browser and click Submit.

5. One-Click Vault Export & Permanent Deletion

Regardless of your state or country of residence (including California CCPA/CPRA and EEA/UK GDPR), you may export your data or permanently purge your account, resumes, and Q&A memory at any time from your account settings or by emailing privacy@chiefofsearch.com. Deletion requests are honored within 72 hours.
