Terms of Service

1. Self-Serve Software License — Not an Employment or Placement Agency

Chief of Search ("Chief of Search," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Biwada LLC, grants you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use our web application and companion browser extension (collectively, the "Software").

Explicit Statutory Notice: Chief of Search provides self-serve document authoring, public job-listing aggregation, and user-directed browser productivity software. Chief of Search is not an employment agency, personnel service, executive search firm, job listing service, or job-seeker fee-charging placement intermediary within the meaning of North Carolina General Statutes § 95-47.1 et seq., New York General Business Law Article 11, California Civil Code § 1812.500 et seq., or any analogous federal, state, or international statute. Specifically:

• We do not represent employers, solicit job orders from employers, or introduce candidates to hiring managers.
• We do not negotiate interviews, offers, or compensation on your behalf.
• Subscription fees are solely for access to self-serve computing and AI productivity tools and are never contingent upon interviews, offers, or employment outcomes.
• We make no guarantee, warranty, or representation that use of the Software will result in interviews or employment offers.

2. Human-in-the-Loop Execution & Candidate Attestation

Chief of Search is engineered around candidate authority and factual accuracy. By using the Software, you agree to the following operating rules:

• Grounded Factual Accuracy: Our resume architecture and screening-question drafter reorganize and tailor facts you provide during your interview and upload sessions. You are solely responsible for verifying that every date, title, credential, metric, work-authorization statement, and answer in your resumes and applications is truthful and accurate.
• User-Solved Security & Authentication: Whenever an employer portal requires account sign-in, multi-factor verification codes, or human-verification challenges (such as CAPTCHAs), the browser copilot pauses and hands control to you. You agree not to pair Chief of Search with third-party CAPTCHA-bypass services or automated inbox scrapers.
• Mandatory Human-Clicked Final Submit: Chief of Search stages and pre-fills fields in your local browser session and halts on the final review step. You personally inspect every completed form, voluntary EEO disclosure, and legal attestation and personally click the final "Submit" action.

3. Public Job Discovery & Acceptable Use

Chief of Search indexes publicly accessible employer career portals and licensed job feeds. You may also manually clip individual job URLs you view in your own browser. You agree not to use the Software to perform automated bulk scraping behind third-party authentication walls, share your seat with other individuals, or submit spam or fraudulent applications.

4. Single-Tier Membership, 14-Day Test Flight & 1-Click Cancellation

Chief of Search offers a single all-inclusive membership tier with transparent billing terms:

• 14-Day Test Flight: New members with a valid payment method receive 14 calendar days of trial access, including the full AI Career Strategy Interview, tailored multi-persona resumes inside the browser copilot, daily ranked shortlists, and up to five (5) end-to-end assisted applications at $0.00.
• Optional Early Membership Unlock: Exporting standalone unwatermarked .pdf or .docx resume files or initiating Application #6+ prior to Day 14 requires your explicit confirmation to start your paid membership immediately. We never convert your trial early without an explicit confirmation click.
• Pre-Renewal Notice & 1-Click Cancellation: Unless you unlock early or cancel, your membership begins automatically at the end of Day 14 at the rate displayed at checkout. We send an automated reminder email three (3) days before your trial converts (Day 11). You may cancel in one click at any time from your Billing Settings page or by emailing support@chiefofsearch.com with zero retention hoops.

5. Intellectual Property & Your Career Materials

You retain 100% ownership of your uploaded career history, interview transcripts, and tailored resume documents generated upon membership activation. Biwada LLC retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Chief of Search Software, scoring rubrics, browser extension code, and brand assets.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BIWADA LLC'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL MEMBERSHIP FEES PAID BY YOU TO CHIEF OF SEARCH IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

7. Governing Law & Contact
